Especially in low-light winter months, a clean facility and fast switching times of the inverter is critical. Due to dirty modules, the inverters switch later on and earlier off. During the winter months the solar output is reduced anyway and should be utilized 100%! Short duty cycles of the inverter, due to the soiled PV modules increase attrition of the inverter and may result in the need of an early replacement.
